Recent Releases Round-Up

ABSolute has been updated to the latest version 🥳

The recent releases have focused more on backend stability as we near our festive lockdown period, but here's a quick round-up of the optimisations we've put into place this past month.

Opt-Out Promos for Content Based Breaks

This year we've focused a lot on optimising our Sales module and we've continued to do so by now providing the option of SCTE triggers and opt-out promos for those using the Content Based Break Builder. This means that after building your Break Pattern, you'd just need to create some opt-out promos, run the playlist automation, and the SCTE triggers will be automatically placed into your playlist - to be replaced by platform specific commercials.

Gracenote 2 EPG Format Update

To maintain our integrations at their latest level of service, we've updated the Gracenote 2 EPG export to include a "Live" column which will automatically populate a Yes against any content you have marked as live in your Programmes database and scheduled as original in your FPC.

Small Fixes and Optimisations

And finally; here's a brief summary of some of the updates we've been implementing to keep ABSolute running smoothly behind the scenes.

  • Allowed option for Asrun on channels without the sales module.
  • Added compatibility for different timechange hour in break patterns with a non-UK based playout.
  • Allowed adding new tickers with the same name as existing expired ones.
  • Backend optimisations for automated timechange during playlist export.
  • Fixed issue where timecode updates were not showing up in the playlist editor for shared channels assigned to the version after original timecodes are created.
  • Fixed issue where version remark was not displaying in the FPC on channels without the MAM module.
  • Optimised playlist export for live events handled by in-house playout.
  • Improved indexing in FPC to enhance query speeds.
