We've made some updates to ABSolute over the past month, so here's your round up of the latest improvements 🥳

✨ What’s New

We've been focusing on expanding our EPG capabilities and integration services this month:

EPG Images Upload

We have officially gone live with our EPG Images Upload functionality, allowing for richer metadata management. Click here if you'd like to see how this works. If you're interested in storing your programme imagery in ABSolute and would like to send them to a specific EPG platform, please don't hesitate to reach out to your account manager for more details on the set up!

Freeview EPG API

Our Freeview EPG API is now live, streamlining the delivery of schedule data to Freeview. What this means is there's no longer any need to download EPGs from ABSolute only to upload them separately on Freeview's portal. Any Freeview EPG exported in ABSolute will now get sent directly to Freeview in one click. Easy! If you'd like to see how this works, click here.

🛠️ Improvements

• Backend Email Management: Introduced new email management settings specifically for VOD workflows to improve user accessibility.
• Ticker Revoke Process: Refined the ticker revoke process to ensure stability with more recent versions of the playout software we use.
• Content Report Error Handling: Added user-friendly error messages to the Content Report for cases where a schedule is updated but the programming in the playlist editor has not been replaced.
• Asrun Visibility: Optimised Asrun to display commercials despite differing event IDs where a new playlist was appended midway through the day.

🪲 Bug Fixes

• EPG Export Email Display: Fixed an issue where BCC emails were not displayed on EPG exports.
• VOD Import Error Handling: Resolved a failure in VOD imports caused by spaces between text elements.
• DVE Credits Asset Linking: Fixed a bug where the same audio/video asset was incorrectly showing up across all DVE credits titles.
• Arabic EPG Import Support: Corrected a character length validation error that was incorrectly alerting during EPG imports for Arabic text.
• EPG Import Error Handling: Resolved an error in EPG imports caused by null characters.
